Påsk Helg

Hej! We're just heading back into the swing of things after a lovely, albeit busy, Easter weekend (Påsk helg). We took TONS of photos, so I'll post some (many) below and try not to type too much here. Long story short, we had Greg's colleague, Maria visiting for the week and had her and her husband over for dinner on Thursday and met them for brunch on Saturday, we had some friends over (Wyn's friend Emily, her parents, and her baby brother) Friday evening and tested out the kids sleeping here while the adults hung out and played a game. It was fun and definitely something we'll do again. On Sunday we had brunch at Caroline's cousin's house. They also live in Dalby and have a little girl and a little boy. The little girl was born on the same day as Wyn! We also enjoyed some Easter Skyping with family, which was really great. It's always nice to catch up and have some long-distance love. Monday went by in a blur and here we are. Wednesday. Pooped, but enjoying the beautiful weather.

Now we've got about a week to get back to normal before things get exciting again. Our friends from Munich, Annamarieke, Henrik, Emma, and their two new daughters will visit for a day and night next week and Mom and Dad arrive right after. Mom and Dad are already exploring the tulips so will be well over jetlag before they get here so should have lots of energy for fun with a two year old :) We've also been working on some holiday plans. We'll be meeting up with Sundar and visiting Lynn in Leiden in July, right before she moves back to the US. She's been gracious enough to come to us the whole time we've been over here, so we are excited to check out her neck of the woods. We're hoping to do an extended weekend in London right after that before Greg heads to a meeting in Cambridge. We're also looking into a family trip in October during my fall break. It should be nice, especially since Greg will be gone most of the month previous. All good things to look forward to :) For now, enjoy the picture overload!

Wyn checking out the baby sheep in Skrylle. There are about 11 or so little lambs and they are so cute.

Wyn kept trying to give them grass to eat, saying...here sheep! Varsågod!

New shoes...clearly they are awesome.

Giving Daddy bedtime rubs after covering him with a kitchen towel...er, blanket.

Excitement on Easter morning.

What the heck did the Easter bunny do with our eggs? Wyn was a little distraught here...

Sweet, here is one.

And another one.

After three days with the "big kids", Wyn has become much more adventurous. Here she is standing on the swing...the thought never would have entered her mind a week ago. Hilarious.

Looking for the sheep on a pit stop to Skrylle.

Giggles.

Mega ice cream cone. Seriously. Wyn ate the cone, but not the ice cream.

Finished batch of colored Easter eggs. It was really fun to do Easter things this year because Wyn understood what was going on much better than last year. Pretty cool.

Cracking up at Easter brunch.

Hanging out at Easter brunch. The food was delicious, though Wyn was NOT into the delicious "paj" (like a quiche). More for the rest of us!

There was a swing in the backyard and Wyn was a bit anti-social, always running off to play on the swing.

Silliness.

More silliness. The girls could not get enough of Greg. It's always cute to hear Kira say "Gweg!"

Having way too much fun together.

A solitary walk in Skrylle.
