The weather has been warm here the past couple of days so we've been enjoying some time outside as a family. Greg had Wednesday off for a bank holiday, so we packed up and had a picnic at the top of the hill at Olympiazentrum. It was awesome because we were practically the only people there, even though it was packed with a festival below. On one side we had a view of the mountains and on the other we could see the viewing tower. Pretty cool. It was a great break for Greg since he has been pretty swamped at work recently with a big deadline looming ahead (today, actually). Saturday we just hung around and Sunday we met up with Maria (Greg's work colleague) and her kids at Echingsee. Wyn loved splashing around and trying out one of her swimsuits. She loved it so much, that she and I met Liz and Joseph for another lake day today in Neufahrn. Enjoy the pics (and short video) below!
Wyn, happy as a clam. Why is she happy? She stole Greg's nectarine...
Behind us you can see the small viewing hill where people go too check things out. It's pretty tough to see how high we are, which is maybe also why this place is a hidden gem. It is also amazing because this whole huge hill was made out of the rubble from WWII. VERY cool.
Olympia tower in the background of the Greg/Wyn love-fest.
Enjoying a little reading time.
You'd never be able to see it, but behind us is a fantastic view of the city and the Alps.
Snacking at Munchener Freiheit on the way home.
Apparently I looked hungry, too.
A little too hungry...I ate her hand. Serves Wyn right, since she has been saying "brains" lately. I think she really might be a zombie...
Helping with the dishes.
Splashing up a storm.
Greg and Wyn testing out the water.
Family shot.
Wearing an adorable cover-up...funny, since behind us were tons of naked German children running around...clearly they didn't have flowery beach attire.
Testing out another suit in Neufahrn today.
This is the best I could get. She was grunting, eating rocks, splashing up a storm, and cracking up but all were difficult to catch on video.
Sweet family making sweet memories. Thanks for the pics.
