Snowy Weekend

After all the gorgeous weather we had last week, this past weekend was a bit of a shock. Cold, wind, and snow. Brrr! It was funny to know Mom and Dad were visiting John in Charlotte and enjoying 65 degree weather. On Saturday, we braved the cold and headed into Malmö in search of a new stroller for Wyn. The goal was a mini trip to the baby store and a lovely afternoon in the city, but we ended up spending tons of time in/around the store (further afield than previously thought) with Wyn in rare form. (Read: majorly cranky). Nonetheless, we were able to find a new stroller and it works great. It's a bit of an upgrade from our old umbrella stroller and a major downgrade from the one Mom2 and Dad2 gave us. It still folds up well and is super light (great for the busses around here), but also maneuvers a bit easier and has a little canopy. Wyn loves it and hopefully it will make it easier to take some day trips and explore Sweden a bit more. On Sunday we had brunch with Angela and Jenny and their families. We had a great time, but unfortunately for Greg we were a bit lacking in the Daddy department. Jonas was home sick and Ray was getting ready for a pending trip to Barcelona. After brunch we had a lovely day at home, culminating with a nice Skype session with Tommi, Derek, and the kids. All in all a nice weekend :)

Yesterday Greg watched Wyn while I headed over to the Lund University hospital to investigate the cause of my dizzy spells. No actual news yet other than nothing appears to be seriously wrong (which is a good thing). For now I'm just working on moving my head around in hopes that I can train my brain, eyes, and ears to work together more successfully. Anyway, Greg and Wyn had a fun morning in Greg's office...Wyn flirting with the scientists and causing some fun ruckus, Greg enjoying every bit of it. In the afternoon Greg went back to work and Wyn and I came home for a playdate with Caroline (my Swedish friend from Wyn's dagis) and Kira (Wyn's friend from dagis). It was a fun way to enjoy the day off from school! (All teachers in Lund had professional development training yesterday...from Wyn's teachers all the way to my Swedish teachers!)

I thought these were sort of funny next to one another. On the left are the kids from our brunch on Sunday and on the right is Wyn...happily stuffing her face :) She had a marvelous time playing on the outskirts while watching the kids, checking out their toys, etc.

Sunday afternoon was awesome. Greg and I played cribbage at the kitchen table while Wyn sat with us coloring and giving advice on which card to play. Super fun :)
