In Germany!

Aloha everyone,

We have made it safely to Germany -- and all of our bags made it as well!  When we arrived we made it through customs very quickly, and our bags were some of the first to come off.  The taxi-bus guy was very nice, and of course teased us about our bag that was a boat anchor.  When we got to the MPA we met with Sonja, and she led us to a small cafe on campus to get a small snack (since, of course, Jenny was hungry).  We then proceeded to take a 3 hour nap.  We both did not sleep much on the airplane.  They needed time to set up our computer accounts, and I just now am able to log on to the internet.  I have a large packet to go through to set up my actual work account, which will be fun.

We also met with another very nice secretary who will be taking care of our lease agreement and residency permits.  She says that our finalized move-in date is October 15.  Apparently, they are renovating the apartments to improve fire safety.  Our apartment is the first to be done, so when we move in we won't have to worry about any further work being done on it.

Apparently my boss is out of town for most of the week, so I'm sure I'll be busy taking care of administrative stuff most of the week.  Jenny is already 'nesting' our temporary apartment.  Anyway, we're going to try to stay awake now so that we actually sleep tonight.  We're thinking of heading downtown to get an early dinner and then come home and rest some more.  Jenny is still feeling a bit under the weather.  We hope everyone is doing well and look forward to Skyping soon!
