Easter Weekend

Happy late Easter everyone! It was so great to be able to Skype with family and be a mini part of Easter celebrations around the world :)

Greg came back from his trip late Saturday night and we were able to spend all day Sunday and Monday together. Yay! On Sunday I was feeling a little better, so we packed a picnic lunch and walked down through the Englischer Garten and simply sat around enjoying the fantastic weather. It was wonderful and I've been wanting to do that together for quite a while. Hooray! Unfortunately, I wasn't feeling well by the time the afternoon hit, so we were unable to make it to the local church we had been hoping to try out. Hopefully next weekend.

On Monday, Greg stayed home from work since the Institute was closed and we hadn't seen much of each other lately. Yay again! We tried to pick up a salad for another picnic lunch, but many places were closed because of the holiday. Instead, we had very American lunches at a local restaurant...Greg had a burger and I had an "American Club Sandwich". Yum! After that, we went back to Englischer Garten to have a picnic without the picnic. We lazed about discussing possible baby names until some rowdy soccer players came near our spot. We had a great time perusing German boys names and enjoyed a giggle when Greg suggested Hans Grueber Ruchti. Die Hard, anyone?

Here are a couple shots from the weekend. We had a better view Monday, but forgot to take any photos :)
A shot Greg took from his train ride this week. Wow!
Greg took a shot of a big blimp flying overhead (German newspaper blimp...no Snoopy!). There was a big tennis tournament going on near our place.
Greg relaxing on our new picnic blanket. This was Sunday when we were in a more secluded area (I was too hungry to walk any further, hahhaa). We got to see some really cute dogs and a family playing soccer together. Fun :)
