Mega Update...from Sweden!!!

As many of you already know, we are safe and sound in Sweden. We have officially been here a week and are living in the guest house until the movers arrive with our belongings (which may take longer than we originally thought...). The nice thing about the guest house is proximity to Greg's work (he has come home for lunch some days), but it will be nice to be settled in our new home. Dalby is a cute (tiny) little town and it is really exciting to know we'll be moving into a townhouse! We have our residence permits and have applied for our personal numbers. Basically you can't do ANYTHING without those, so we are in limbo (without phone, internet, etc) until we get them in 2-3 weeks. In the mean time, Greg is settling in nicely at work. His colleagues have been very welcoming and he has been able to jump right in to everything. Pictures of his office to follow. He may even have a masters student in the fall, which would be exciting! Wyn and I have been trying to settle in a bit ourselves, spending time exploring the area and such. Honestly, it has been tough because Wyn has shown some crank and I've needed a break. Thankfully, we found an AMAZING Swedish facility here that I plan on taking full advantage of while we are here. Öppen förskola (open preschool) is the best thing in the world. It is a free facility for children aged 0-4 and their parents. It is extremely homey and Wyn absolutely loved it there. Basically, you can enjoy all aspects of the facility (toys, kitchen, art room, etc) at your leisure, giving both kids and parents outside interaction. They also have organized singing every morning. I can hardly wait to show this place to visiting grandparents! I met tons of English speakers and when we went on Friday there were people from 18 different countries. Fascinating!

Before coming to Sweden we had a whirlwind of visitors and had a really great, albeit busy time. John was with us for a whole week, which was really awesome. We had a nice time showing him around Germany in nicer weather. Sundar came for the first weekend of Oktoberfest and enjoyed some Wyn time, since the last he saw her she was only a month and a half old. We also had our friends Liz, Pete, Georgia, and Hector meet us at the airport to say goodbye when we flew out of Munich. A nice end to a wonderful experience. We have been really blessed to have had the opportunity to explore Munich and are looking forward to this new adventure in Sweden!

 The only picture I could get of the öppen förskola because of picture regulations...can't take photos of other people and kids without their consent and their were TONS of people. I just thought this would give you an idea of how crowded it was. It was great!
