IKEA und Skype

Well, we had a successful trip to IKEA yesterday. We had a great time (and some angst, as Greg would put it) picking out furniture for our new place. We now have a pretty good idea of the basics that will be filling our house. We couldn't actually order anything because some items were out of stock, but our fears were mollified that it doesn't look like it will take weeks to have furniture in our place. I tried to get a whole bunch of pictures of the furniture, but they are small and lame. At least you can see this teeny one of the bed...you can store stuff under it and behind the bed is like an end table replacement.

Also, we had a great time Skyping with family and friends! It was really great to keep in contact with people we haven't been able to talk to since the move, as well as family we've been talking to on a continual basis. Skype rocks, basically. It makes it feel like we just moved down the block.

Today we will wander around a bit because it is SO GORGEOUS outside! We still have a bit too much to do to have been able to plan a hiking trip, but at least we know we'll be here a while. Greg is busy setting up plans for our trip to Nice in November, and I'm busy decoding the application for a subscription to the U-bahn system.
